John W. Boykin, PGA

Founder and CEO, John W. Boykin was elected to PGA of America membership in 1979. His nearly 40-year career has followed a diverse and accomplished path. John has been a PGA head golf professional, General Manager and golf facility owner, an author, broadcaster, noted international instructor and corporate spokesman.

Here are a few of the highlights:
  • Over 7 years as Editor and Publisher of Golf Industry Magazine.
  • Credentialed US PGA Tour and European PGA Tour Instructor for 6 years.
  • Has had tips and instruction published in Golf Digest Magazine, Golf Magazine and Senior Golfer Magazine.
  • Has appeared as a featured instructor on the Golf Channel's Academy Live.
  • Creator of The Scoring Academy, a "short game" learning program that is the result of working with more than 100 world class players on every professional tour. This program has been taught to corporate executives and their guests both in the US and abroad.
  • Creator of the Secrets of Scoring, a 50-minute DVD presentation of tour-proven stroke saving techniques.
  • Various radio and television broadcasting credits, including; 14-years as the voice for a 6-city radio network for The Masters highlights, on-course commentator for multiple PGA Tour and Champions Tour events for One-On-One Radio Network, color commentator for Sunshine Sports TV Network's Dodge Celebrity Golf Tour Championship and 2-season radio color voice for Jacksonville University (FL) basketball.
  • Member, Crail Golfing Society, the world's 7th oldest golf club originating in 1786, 8-miles from St. Andrews, Scotland and the St. Andrews Golf Club (formed in 1843) adjacent to the 18th fairway of the Old Course, St. Andrews, Scotland.

Jake Fryer, PGA, Executive Vice President

Jake Fryer, is a graduate from Mississippi State University's Professional Golf Management Program, often referred as the PGA's PGM Program. A key component of this unique educational curriculum are the required internships served at golf facilities and golf centric businesses. Jake was selected to serve internships at the prestigious Atlanta Athletic Club, site of multiple major professional championships as well as The Country Club in Brookline, MA, one of the original seven clubs to form the United States Golf Association in 1894, also host to multiple major championships and the Ryder Cup in 1999. These cherished assignments helped Jake hone his already considerable abilities in all areas of the game and business of golf and elevated his communications and customer relations skills.

Following his final internship at Business Golf International as an event development and execution manager and after earning his marketing degree with a concentration in professional golf management, Jake joined BGI as Executive Vice President. He oversees many of our client relationships and day-to-day operations. He assists with the execution of current events, the development of new events as well as client recruitment.

Jake brings a wealth of new ideas to the proven models employed by BGI and compliments our team of professionals that consistently deliver memorable and reliable results. BGI's reputation for customer satisfaction and loyalty is elevated with the addition of Jake Fryer, he's a key reason the future of BGI is bright.

Brittany Fox, Director of Client Relations

Business Golf International's Director of Client Relations, Brittany Fox, comes from being in the center of competitive sports. With a degree in Exercise Science from Darton College in Albany, Georgia, Brittany is no stranger to the world of athletics having spent twelve years playing elite soccer. Her many awards include First Team All American honors while playing on an athletic scholarship.

Brittany has assisted in the pre-event stages and execution of many charity fundraisers as well as several soccer tournaments and camps. Prior to joining Business Golf International, Brittany worked for a diverse range of organizations, including non-profits, investment firms, and event catering. Brittany's phenomenal ability to adjust and relate to any situation helps our clients with unparalleled opportunities to build key relationships on and off the golf course.

Brittany oversees much of the logistics for BGI's high end golf events including participant registration, venue communications, reception/dinner food and beverage selections, multi-media creation and execution. BGI's earned reputation for developing and executing amazing events is in great part due to the efforts of Brittany Fox, she is an elite member of the BGI team.

Chuck Dobson, Senior Director of Field Operations

Chuck has been affiliated with BGI for more than 25 years and now serves as the Senior Director of Field Operations. Chuck's career in the game and business of golf has spanned more than 35 years. Following playing college football and running track in Tennessee, Chuck entered the business of golf and has been the favorite of PGA professionals, tournament leadership and sponsors across the country ever since. His experience and expertise in event leadership includes the execution of national events for the likes of Mizuno Golf and Bridgestone Sports/Golf at such iconic venues as Pebble Beach. Chuck's innovative formats and tournament programming have earned an international reputation for excellence.

Chuck has been the liaison for major golf brands with the PGA Tour, the PGA of America and LPGA and Symetra Tours and many of the sponsors associated with the tours and golf's major events. His warm personality and dedication to every element of the experience makes every golf event rewarding and memorable.

Chuck Dobson is BGI's man on the site and insures our client's events have distinction and excellence unmatched. He and BGI bring the "wow" factor to each and every golf event.

Kevin Keenan, UK and European Advisor

Loren Deal brings strong client relationship experience, event development and execution success to Business Golf International. She has traveled internationally, served as a volunteer in the Peace Corps, been an educator and innovator in the areas of relationship building in multiple arenas including for-profits and non-profits. Loren's diverse expertise and experience includes serving as the national Program Manager for the highly renowned American Cancer Society's (ACS) Coaches vs Cancer Program. She partnered with Business Golf International to orchestrate the very successful ACS Coaches vs Cancer National Golf Classic. This program in partnership with the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) annually enjoyed a high six figure net result. Loren was the driving force behind multiple ACS programs associated with college basketball's biggest stage, The Final Four.

Born in Atlanta, Loren is unquestionably a southern lady. Earning a degree at the University of Georgia in early childhood education, her approach to each interaction with prospects and clients immediately puts them at ease. In the role of Vice President for Communications and Development Loren brings proven skills to help BGI grow its portfolio of valued clients.

Having been a BGI client, Loren has a full appreciation of the value of BGI's programs, products and services. As she shares those offerings with current and future clients, Loren is a most welcome addition to the team of specialists at Business Golf International. Loren Deal is a key to BGI's future and the clients she engages will truly enjoy the relationship.

Nancy Aquilo, Strategic and Technology Advisor

In addition to holding a master's degree in Information Systems Technology, Nancy has extensive experience and expertise in team development and relationship building in the hospitality space. She teaches business information systems, applied technologies and business perspectives at the collegiate level as well as serving as a senior database engineer for a major global brand in their hospitality division. Nancy also oversees her consulting firm, Aquilo Consulting. Her clients have included Coca Cola, Scientific Atlanta (now Cisco), Bellsouth (now AT&T) and PrimePoint Media among others.

Nancy adds the highly valued insight of how to listen to and process client's business culture. This is key to BGI "interviewing" our clients, giving us the ability to provide solutions utilizing golf to help them achieve and exceed their business goals. This is the principle that BGI was founded upon and continues to be our measurement of success.

Nancy Aquilo is another important contributor to the depth of expertise that is unique to Business Golf International and another reason that BGI is the right partner for our clients in the utilization of the game and business of golf.

Darryl Wiggins, Communications and Marketing Advisor

Darryl's expertise in communications, marketing and brand building comes from a highly successful career in each of these disciplines. He has managed the creative development and execution of sports marketing programs in both college and professional sports while with Eastman Kodak. Darryl's development and implementation of the "promotional playbook" for both corporate and field staff is legendary. He has negotiated sponsorship agreements with the likes of the PGA Tour, LPGA Tour, the NCAA, NFL Properties and IMG Sports. He has also orchestrated event hospitality for multiple major brands.

Darryl brings a proven approach to understanding the needs of clients, the tactics to achieve success and the style to insure sustainable goals.
